The Wall is certainly a milestone in the history of music. Once again, Pink Floyd had produced a masterpiece, this time even more full of excellent "The Dark Side of the Moon" and "Wish You Were Here." In this double album were able to compose a rock opera with a story (autobiographical?) From start to finish, and then in fact it was made into a film.
Told in a few lines, is the story of a boy who lost his father at a young age (The war) and remains at the mercy of mother's phobias. The "Wall" of which you speak is one that begins to build around in fear from the outside world.
Why just today I naturally talk about The Wall? Why I hope that a "wall" of my knowledge starts to crumble and has not so tall and solid as you might think ...
Outside the Wall All alone, or in twos The ones who
really love you Walk up and down outside the wall Some hand in hand
Some gather together in bands The bleeding hearts
and the artists
Make Their stand
And When they've given you their all Some stagger and fall
After all It's Not Easy
Banging your heart Against Some mad buggers Wall
Suns out of the wall, or in pairs
Those who truly love you
They walk up and down outside the wall
Some hand in hand
Someone sits in band
The bleeding hearts and artists
Make their appearance
And when have given all they could
Some stagger and fall
After all it is not easy
Banging your heart against a stupid fucking
Wall.
